  • Author: Stephen R. Covey
  • Category: Personal Developement
  • Review: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change was a groundbreaker when it was first published in 1990, and it continues to be a business bestseller with more than 10 million copies sold. Stephen Covey, an internationally respected leadership authority, realizes that true success encompasses a balance of personal and professional effectiveness, so this book is a manual for performing better in both arenas.

"Change does not necessarily assure progress, but progress implacably requires change. Education is essential to change, for education creates both new wants and the ability to satisfy them."

A beautiful poem contributed by our talented colleague Masarat Daud, Quality Management Experts (QME) Coordinator at the e-TQM College:

"This is my latest poem, titled 'London'. It’s about the belief that we all have a soulmate; there was a period in my life where I stopped believing in this concept. But now, after reviving it, I feel as if I'm dreaming once again--the altruistic dreams, where you don't expect them to come true. He/she will start existing just because you started believing. And you might find him anywhere—in London or in your city or just…in any unknown, unpredictable place! And if you’re married to your soulmate, then you’re one of the rare lucky people!"

LONDON

The longing for a change;
The hope of meeting what—
The crystal ball would never show.

In that chilly weather,
When the clouds are dark—and
Filled with hope,
I sense your presence
through the gloom.

Your green shirt—
Barely visible through the mist;
Maybe you’re walking
Or are you staring at the moon,
Wondering?
Just like a poet’s heart—and
A child’s eye.

My bachelor words have
Found—
A muse,
To fill the empty recess of longing.
He listens and marvels
At my gift of words.

When everyone has gone into slumber,
My voice echoes in his dreams,
Making him sigh while he sleeps—
Thanking our God,
To have completed the circle
In an unknown land.
