Fall 2009 Semester Orientation Days at HBMeU
After completing admission requirements and receiving notification of acceptance from the university, all newly admitted learners are required to attend the orientation day program. The program consists of two parts: a general orientation during which an overview of the university and the program of study are presented, with emphasis on academic policies and procedures and insights into various learners services and a technical orientation which is conducted to train learners on the usage of various available technologies.

The purpose of the Learners’ Council is to represent learners and to communicate their views and opinions to HBMeU top management and administration. It also plays a key role in coordinating learners’ activities and representing HBMeU learners’ body internally and externally. The Learners from different academic programs and promotions are nominated and elected to serve as members of the Learners’ Council. The election of the Learners’ Council representatives is facilitated by Learners Services Unit.

The e-learning unit is facilitating informal ‘Drop in Sessions’ on a fortnightly basis to support and mentor learners in the successful and active use of the HBMeU‘s Virtual Learning Environment.
